Since the show began on television reality show "Big Brother" sparked a lot of bad comments. Good comments and impressions about this show were few and far between. Everyone knows who the main participants of the reality show were, although they are considered notorious for some reasons.
This is the most controversial topic over the "Big Brother". Only a select group of people notice that if not for "Big Brother", we wouldn't have objective news
shown on TV. People do not realize this. "Big Brother" is not originally my concept, but it is an idea that has already been established and proven to work. We have watched what is happening in Britain and how the media attempts to preserve its influence on the public, its credibility and its ratings, very much similar to the Pink Serbian. "That's it", said the director and editor in chief of Serbian Pink, Velikinac Bratislav.
"Therefore, we are not as separate as many people deem us to be. Like rules which vary according to the location in the world, so does every one of us is different from one another. If you really want us to commercialize, then I'm afraid we might end up discouraging young media professionals who, out of idealistic principles, want to guard the interest of the public. But if we can make a good balance, it will be a heroic feat", said Velikinac Bratislav.
The data show that "Big Brother" made a boom among TV viewers and Internet users. The "Big Brother" portal, through which the live, 24 hours a day - seven days a week, consistently had around 170,000 visits every day. Translated into a computer figures - this would be equal to roughly 720Gb daily! This is about same size as 1000 feature films!
Professor of Sociology of Culture, Bratko Bozovic, said: "Big Brother is software that displays to the world. It is not bad to come to our region as an instrument to see what's going on elsewhere. I admit that I also watch this show, but then I realized it displays immoral scenes. It is not known whether what we see is reality, or whether people in the house close are merely acting? Is all this manipulation?"
The problem of this story is that the participants will play a game that is required of them, while all the while wanting to look and behave in an appealing manner. This is human nature. These participants' behavior on screen cannot actually be called total freedom, because they instead choose to display themselves as socially and morally upright. They even attempt to simulate honesty, morality and spontaneity that would be expected of every celebrity.
When it comes to a large audience, "Big Brother" is based on a pathological need for people to peep through someone else's doors. "In this instance, it is much more than just peeping through a keyhole", remarked Professor Bozovic.
Of course, there are those who have a very negative opinion about the phenomenon of this show. For example, a psychologist Velikir Korac, said: "I have read about this TV program, so I decided to give it a try, and one evening, I watched it for half an hour. I abhor watching these types of shows. They meet the worst in man, and that is to peer into someone else's life in a voyeuristic way."
Another psychologist said: "People like to peep into other people's lives, most usually through the keyhole in the bedroom."
"Big Brother" just meets this need and provides the illusion that you can always see what is going on in the lives of others. I think this show is full of sexism and trivia. Above all, it portrays the denial of a basic human right - the right to privacy. Therefore, I think the worst of "Big Brother."
